Spring On Over Here To Get Your Air Filters Changed

Spring On Over Here To Get Your Air Filters Changed

We can’t believe Spring is here! We can’t wait to see the sun shining, the flowers blossoming, and the days growing longer. At Tony’s Brake & Alignment, our team is looking forward to the change in seasons. Even though Spring is a welcome change from winter, it is also allergy season. Spring is notorious for the amount of pollen in the air.  Not only does pollen affect you, but it can also affect your vehicle. Why Are Spring Rains So Dangerous In Louisville?

Why Are Spring Rains So Dangerous In Louisville?

Even though winter may be almost over, Mother Nature certainly isn't finished -- Louisville is notorious for it's Spring rains. In fact, Kentucky is the third most dangerous state for driving in the rain. We all heard of the saying, "April showers bring May flowers," and March is the perfect time for a reminder of how wet and rainy Louisville can genuinely get.  A national safety organization, SafeWise, analyzed the number of fatal car crashes caused by the rain, and the results were alarming -- Kentucky had 67 fatal car crashes caused by the rain in 2016. Only Mississippi and Arkansas ranked higher than Kentucky. The team at Tony's Brake & Alignment is here to remind of several simple steps to take when driving or preparing to drive in our potentially dangerous Spring rains:  Before driving anywhere, make sure to clear any ice and snow from your windows.  Make sure you always turn on your headlights and taillights for visibility.  When ... read more

Why Is Wheel Alignment So Important?

Your vehicle is made up of various systems and components. For a safe and comfortable drive, each of these systems and components should perform in top condition. From your wheels to lights, each component plays a vital role in your vehicle's overall performance. At Tony's Brake & Alignment, we would like to emphasize the importance of a wheel alignment. Sometimes, it can be easy to forget about your wheels compared to your brakes or transmission. Still, a wheel alignment service is essential in preserving your vehicle's safety, driveability, and longevity.  What exactly is wheel alignment? When we say wheel alignment, we are referring to an adjustment of your vehicle's suspension or the system that connects your vehicle to its wheel. Why American Families Take More Advantage of 3-Day Weekends & Road Trips During The Pandemic

Photo by Emmy Gaddy on Unsplash While the COVID pandemic has turned our world upside-down and created a "new normal" for many of us, some silver linings have emerged from the crisis. In this month's blog, the team at Tony's Brake & Alignment in Louisville, KY, wants to highlight one of these silver linings: Why American families take more advantage of 3-day weekends and road trips during the pandemic.
